What is SpamTrawler?

Initially planned as a self defence measure for our own websites, SpamTrawler was born in summer 2009 as nothing more than a simple IP and Country blocking solution which rapidly evolved into what it is today and our most exciting project yet.


SpamTrawler is a convenience suite for traffic and file system monitoring & filtering enhancing usability and security of php based websites/scripts.


Over the years the software and our services grew to be much more than initially anticipated, evolving from a simple script into a fully fledged firewall and security appliance.


One thing that has dominated throughout is our commitment to make a positive contribution and to provide security and anti-spam solutions as well as services for the web master and hosting community at large, which we are proud to say is still our driving force.


SpamTrawler has always been made first and foremost for ourselves and once we were happy with our achievements, and spotted a demand for such solutions, has been made available to those in need for serious solutions to their websites security and anti-spam needs with the goal to provide them with the same convenience and peace of mind that we experience using our software everyday.


By actively using our own software we are not only able to quickly identify and solve any issues that may arise but also add new functionality we find useful.


The bottom line is simple: If SpamTrawler continously creates convenience in our life it can likely do the same for others.
